I recommend purchasing travel insurance with a cancel-for-any-reason policy to help secure your investment. You can purchase trip cancellation insurance for as little as $40. Use a site like insuremytrip.com to compare plans against one another.
Amy Johnson and Focused Wild are not responsible for reimbursement of any travel or other expenses, such as but not limited to nonrefundable or refundable airline tickets, hotel rooms, workshop fees or other travel expenses or expenses, related to a workshop cancellation or other events.
Focused Wild is also not responsible for events that prevent you from arriving at the workshop, such as but not limited to weather events, canceled flights, government shutdowns or other foreseen or unforeseen events and circumstances. In the event that a government shutdown or other restriction occurs that prevents access to the original workshop location (such as COVID-19), we will do our best to find suitable alternatives in the same area. Refunds are not available in the case of a government shutdown or other travel restrictions. We recommend travel insurance to protect yourself from this possibility. It is impossible to predict the weather when arranging for a workshop. What some would consider bad weather often makes for great photography. Participants should arrive at the workshop prepared for all weather conditions and temperatures. Cancellations, for any reason, must be in writing (e-mail or regular mail). Failure to cancel your space in writing means that you are not eligible for a refund.
If you miss a payment without contacting me or you don’t cancel your spot in writing, you are not eligible for a refund.
Cancel 61 days or earlier before the workshop:
If you paid the full amount, everything but the nonrefundable deposit is refunded.
If your space is NOT filled, the deposit is forfeited.
If the space is filled, you will receive a refund of the deposit, minus a $150 administrative fee.
60 or fewer days before the workshop:
If your space is NOT filled, the entire workshop fee is forfeited.
If your space is filled, you’ll receive a refund minus the nonrefundable deposit.
