About the Event
This workshop has been CANCELLED. Please check out our other workshops!
In March, the desert is in bloom, turning the browns and grays into an explosion of color. It's a fantastic time of year to visit the southwest for landscape photography
We will also visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. (Don't think old paintings -- think birds, both captive and wild.) We will see a wide variety of birds of prey up close and get to photograph them both perched and in flight.
This workshop will not enter Saguaro National Park this year. We will be photographing on public land that does not require a permit.

We recommend booking a room at Cat Mountain Lodge. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is outstanding. You can book directly through their website https://catmountainlodge.com
If you prefer to stay elsewhere, you will want to check the distance from the hotel to Cat Mountain Lodge, as this is where we will meet every morning.
We will do a fair amount of walking for this workshop, but no strenuous hiking required.
Participants should be comfortable with their camera and lenses. Familiarity with Manual Exposure is recommended but not required.
Maximum number of participants
4 (minimum of 2 to run the workshop)
In the event of bad weather during a workshop we will spend the time indoors editing our images, working on digital workflow in Lightroom, and doing slide show presentations.
There are no refunds for inclement weather during a workshop.
